Harmony for your mind, body and soul

Welcome to Harmony Therapies in Lydney, Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire; Complementary Therapies including Massage Therapy and Reflexology to benefit your mental, physical and emotional health.

Welcome to Harmony Therapies, and thank you for visiting my website.

My name is Melissa and I am a mobile Massage Therapist / Reflexologist covering Lydney, Yorkley, Coleford, Cinderford and the remaining areas of the Forest of Dean. I visit you in the comfort of your own home to provide professional, affordable, safe Complementary and Holistic treatments to support your health and well-being.

I have a First Class BSc (Hons) Complementary Therapies degree (2009), fully insured and a full member of the Association of Reflexologists (AOR) and The International Federation of Professional Aromatherapists (IFPA).

I became interested in Complementary Therapies following ill health and experienced first hand the many benefits they can have on one’s well-being. My aim is to offer holistic and bespoke treatments to suit your individual needs, to benefit your physical, mental and emotional health, allowing your body to find its natural balance, homeostasis.

I participate in regular Continual Professional Development and as such have added Bellabaci Cupping Massage, Hot Stones Massage, Hot Stones Reflexology, Indian Head Massage, Hopi Ear Candling and Holistic Clay Facials to my list of therapies.

Reflexology (1 hour £28)

Reflexology is a non-invasive treatment that is based on the theory that the body is mapped out in the feet with ‘Reflex points’, the feet being a mirror image of the body. The reflex points correspond to different organs and structures of the body and by gently finger and thumb walking the reflex points, imbalances may be noted. The aim of Reflexology is to bring your body back to a natural balance, homeostasis. With over 7000 nerve endings in each foot, the nerve endings are stimulated and a reflexology treatment will promote a deep state of relaxation, stimulate and improve circulation and promote well being. An immensely relaxing and wonderful treatment, suitable for all ages from birth to the elderly.

Hot Stones Reflexology (1 hour £35)

Hot Basalt Stones are incorporated into the Reflexology treatment. The stones penetrate to a deeper level enhancing the benefits of the treatment. A truly relaxing and calming treatment.

Luxury Reflexology (1hour 30mins £40)

A Reflexology treatment with the added pamper of a foot soak and exfoliate.

A natural clay face mask is made to suit your skin type and aims to nourish and refresh. Enjoy a relaxing hand and arm massage when the clay mask has been applied and the treatment is rounded off with a toning facial massage with your preference of either a face cream or essential oil blend.

Massage Therapies

Clinical Aromatherapy

Clinical Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils blended in a carrier oil. All essential oils have different therapeutic properties therefore a blend will be created specifically for you, focussing on your physical, mental and emotional needs

Bellabaci Cupping Massage

Bellabaci Cupping Massage is the use of silicone cups that are squeezed to create a suction on the skin and tissues. They provide a negative pressure, i.e. suction, therefore can be used directly over bones and joints providing greater coverage of all muscles. They can provide up to 10cm deeper than manual massage therefore excellent for providing a deep tissue massage and for detoxification.

Hot Stones Massage

Hot Stones Massage is the use of Hot Basalt Stones. The heat of the stones warms and relaxes the muscles, in turn allowing deeper pressure without discomfort.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage is the use of slow and firm strokes, more pressure to reach the deeper layers of muscles and tissues.

Indian Head Massage

Indian Head Massage is a relaxing massage of the scalp, face, upper back, neck, shoulders and arms. Traditionally this is carried out in a seated position however it may also be carried out laying on the massage couch.

Pregnancy Massage

Pregnancy Massage is a great way to soothe aches and pains, and promote relaxation during pregnancy.

Swedish Massage

Swedish Massage is the use of long, gliding, kneading strokes to promote relaxation.
